The truth about Valentinesday and Love
The truth about Valentinesday and Love.
I am hardly the one to lecture in the field of love and commitment
I am almost fifty and although I have had many loves and several relations, I have never been married and am at present single.
However I do have a wealth of worldly experience too share with you the reader.
I have shared the experience of many cultures, religions and people in general.
People, what funny creatures we are.
We say we do things out of love, yet I believe our driving forces to be many times of another order.
Our so called modern society has for a large part turned so shallow that we people,' for the primates we are', do lack individual thought processes and just copy what we see on TV.
We want the best lookers not the best suitors. We want the biggest weddings or the most expensive
suites and dresses. Who we marry, has become seemingly of lesser importance than the exterior appearance and the ambition for monetary wealth.
I for one love my single lifestyle. Which does not mean I wouldn't enjoy the enrichment of a partner in life. I would welcome such an affiliation. Yet most woman nowadays are not my cup of tea.
Society ,'in my eyes', has had a very negative influence on womanhood in general.
I love natural beauty, inner strength and sophistication. I even have a weakness for the feminine tomboy girls. Anything but the ugly witch style that goes with big earrings, fake nails, false boobies and whatever seems to be normal but isn't.
And although I am totally for equal rights and all to all, I do not like a woman to be too macho.
This is at present a very macho society and both woman and man are under its influence.
I like a woman that puts me straight in an intellectual manor not with just snappy remarks.
I believe in intellectual solutions not emotional ranting.
This does not mean I am not emotional; I just do not like to give in to cheap or overly dramatic emotions.
Many folks around seem to stay infantile even when they grow older into their thirty's and forty's.
I like grown up love and prefer such love over teenage love.
Grown-up love is lasting love. Grown-up love can last a life-time. Try it, you might like it !
Hollywood is a great example of how not to love.
Most Hollywood portraits are filled with frustration and misunderstanding as their selling attraction.
From a maybe more mature standpoint, it just doesn't work for me.
I take two people willing to make mature choices and real commitments over puppy love, anytime.
And sex, what happened there?
Cheap thrills and short orgasms? These fade from memory so easy!
Maybe most just haven't evolved from their primordial state of mind.
This of course has everything to do with a general lack of knowledge of ourselves.
To be a good partner we have to have some more insight into who we are, in order to complete somebody else. This is definitely true in sex.
To be able to truly enjoy one another, you gotta like every smile, smell and smooch.
So much so that it becomes worth growing old gracefully together, still making love into an older age. It happens you know! No false nails, false promises or fake orgasm's. It can all be good!
So all you Valentines out there, do not go for the easy choices, because these they tend to disappoint
When y're young it is okay to make some mistakes and share different experiences. But believe me when I say that when you grow older, you will appreciate the true moments in life more and more.
So Valentine is not for shopping wildly like a headless chicken in order to fill gaps of emptiness.
Neither is it for just the quick consumption of just sex, drugs, party's, clothes and such.
It is and has always been about two people enjoying each-others company and getting the best out of life. The best like; oceans deep, mountains high, swimming, climbing, chilling on beaches and smelling the (uncut) flowers in the wind and,...one another.
That is what we call true happiness.
It is about candle light moments, making love and sharing them,… together, where and whenever.
So hey you,..... Valentine, take your time and fight for what’s real.
It’s worth it.
Happy Valentine2you all. HUGS&KISSES TrinityRoy 2012
